Good news is, the latest CT shows the boat has shrunk practically in half, or at least considerably. And noticeably. Am no longer feeling the pressure in my back. Not holding water. And any weakness now is simply attributed to the chemo, round 2 of which I wrapped up on Mon, Tue and Wed.

Not so much good news - at least, I'm still working my way thru to the place where I can see it as good news: The doc says he's taken radiation therapy off the potential treatment paths as we've already done "internal radiation" with last year's Led Zevalin groove-in. (And them nukes is still active; in fact, they're still one year away from attaining their "optimal effect" in inhibiting new bad cell growth. So's I still got that going for me.)

So he said the only treatment option when we finish what will now be a total of 6 chemo rounds, in around 6 more months, is a donor transplant. Said it before and I say it again: not for me as it's high risk and not much in the way of quality of life if there's an afterwards. That, or, hang on long as I can on sheer faith and drugs still in study phase, or as they so euphemistically say, "let the illness run its course." Ran into the doc who treated me before I was transferred to the transplant unit, and she'll actually soon be transferring to the studies unit. So she knows my case and told me about new antibody they're testing that's looking promising.

And to close on another high note, I'm still in a much better frame of mind nowadays and optimistic that I'll continue to beat the odds. And summer's soon here, keeping them good vibrations a'comin'.
